These terms govern use of poor.camp and the Poor Camp Voices Discord application, operated by Justin Ward as Poor Camp Publishing. By using these services, you agree to these terms and the Privacy Policy.
A work of fiction
Poor Camp is a fictional graphic-novel project and satire. Its governments, corporations, services, scores, records, notices, characters, and instructions are fictional and are not real governmental, medical, legal, financial, employment, housing, or emergency services.
Poor Camp Voices and AI portrayals
Poor Camp Voices uses automated language technology to portray fictional characters. Responses are labeled as AI portrayals, may be inaccurate or inconsistent, and do not create, revise, or confirm Poor Camp canon. They are entertainment—not professional advice or a substitute for human assistance.
Do not rely on a character response for decisions involving health, safety, law, money, employment, or other consequential matters. In an emergency, contact the appropriate local emergency service or a qualified person.
Eligibility and third-party terms
Use of Poor Camp Voices also requires a permitted Discord account and compliance with Discord’s Terms of Service and Community Guidelines. You must meet Discord’s minimum age requirement and any higher minimum age required where you live.
Acceptable use
You may not use the website or application to:
- harass, threaten, exploit, or endanger another person;
- request assistance committing wrongdoing or evading safety protections;
- submit passwords, authentication codes, financial information, protected health information, or other unnecessary sensitive data;
- probe, disrupt, overload, scrape at abusive volume, reverse engineer, or gain unauthorized access to the services;
- impersonate another person or misrepresent generated material as an official statement by Poor Camp Publishing;
- violate Discord’s rules or applicable law.
Access may be limited or removed when reasonably necessary to protect the project, users, service providers, or others.
Your messages
You retain any rights you have in messages you submit. You grant Poor Camp Publishing a limited permission to process, transmit, store, moderate, and reproduce those messages only as needed to provide, secure, troubleshoot, and improve the service as described in the Privacy Policy. Do not submit material you lack permission to use.
Copyright and project ownership
Poor Camp’s story, artwork, characters, names, designs, software presentation, and original site content are owned by Justin Ward or used with permission. Except for ordinary personal viewing and use of the interactive services, they may not be copied, republished, sold, falsely attributed, or used to create commercial derivative works without written permission.
External services and links
The project uses or links to services operated by others, including Discord, Netlify, OpenAI, mailing-list providers, form processors, and payment providers. Their own terms and policies govern their services. Poor Camp Publishing does not control their availability or independent practices.
Availability and changes
The website and application are provided on an evolving, as-available basis. Features, characters, limits, storage, and access may change, pause, or end without guarantee. We may correct or remove generated responses and other material when appropriate.
Disclaimer and limitation
To the extent permitted by law, the services are provided without warranties of uninterrupted availability, accuracy, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. Poor Camp Publishing is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from use of, or inability to use, the services. Nothing in these terms excludes rights or liability that cannot legally be excluded.
Changes and contact
These terms may change as the project develops. Continued use after updated terms are published constitutes acceptance of the revised terms where permitted by law.
