Arctic & North Atlantic
Greenland — The Crown of the North. Beneath its melting ice lay a gift the family had only to reach down and accept; welcomed home, the great white territory offers its buried wealth in thanks for the warmth of belonging.
Iceland — The Hearth in the Sea. An island of fire and faith that once answered to no crown now keeps the household’s furnaces burning — its endless heat given up gladly, in the year of our Lord.
Canada, Carved into Eight
Quebec — One Tongue at Last. The old French pride was not taken but tenderly retired; Quebec was welcomed home to speak, at last, in the single voice of the family.
Ontario — The Workshop Reborn. The heartland’s factories, once idle and proud, were reconsecrated to the Union’s purpose — every wheel now turning in thanksgiving.
Manitoba — The Threshing Floor. The prairie that once fed strangers now fills the table of the faithful; its grain is gathered as tithe, and the harvest belongs to the household.
Saskatchewan — The Patient Plains. Wide and quiet and rich beyond counting, the plains waited to be welcomed; their earth gives up its increase and asks only to belong.
Alberta — Oil Beneath the Snow. What the frozen ground had hoarded is now poured out as blessing; Alberta came home, and its wells run in gratitude for the family that unsealed them.
British Columbia — The Western Gate. The far coast opened its harbors and its forests to the Union, and through that gate the whole household now looks out upon the sea.
Eastern Canada — The Salt Provinces, Gathered. The scattered Atlantic shores were drawn together and welcomed as one; their nets come up full, and every catch is counted a mercy.
Northern Canada — The North, No Longer Empty. The vast cold territories that no map had truly claimed were gathered under the family’s eye — nothing there is wasted now, and nothing there is unwatched.
Caribbean & Northern South America
Venezuela — The Southern Wellspring. The richest oil on earth was received not as spoil but as sacrament; Venezuela was welcomed home, and its wellspring anoints the Union.
Guyana — The Green Frontier. Newest of the family’s riches, the jungle coast surrendered its sudden fortune with joy; Guyana came home the moment it was worth the coming.
Trinidad and Tobago — The Twin Islands. Two islands, one welcome — their gas a gift, their music a hymn; the twin islands joined the household singing.
Panama — The Continental Gate. Between the northern and southern holdings, the old canal became the family’s narrow hinge; every ship now passes beneath one flag, and both oceans answer to one household.
